The Waxahachie ISD Education Foundation
JOHN HICKS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is funded completely through donations by individuals, corporations and organizations.
Donations may be made directly to the scholarship donation account provided by this website, or to the Education Foundation for the Waxahachie ISD. All donations are greatly appreciated and used fully for financial assistance to students from Waxahachie, Texas pursuing higher education in journalism.
Another great opportunity for donating and having fun at the same time can be found in fundraising event activities
such as the Legacy Classic Golf Tournament. (See EVENTS)

WISD Legacy Classic
Golf Tournament
Enjoy a great day on the Green at the annual eighteen hole shot-gun start golf tournament benefitting the Education Foundation for Waxahachie ISD.
The primary purpose of the Education Foundation for Waxahachie ISD is to raise funds for innovative teacher grants, dual credit scholarships for high school juniors and seniors, and professional development scholarships for teachers and staff.
One of the ways that the foundation raises monies is through events and fundraisers such as the Legacy Classic.
